When we were working on the second episode of my videos on YouTube (which is a very brief history of photography), we planned a pretend Victorian photographer scene with Dad as Mr. Ramsbottom. We then thought it would be good to talk to an actual photographer to learn more about photography in the olden days.

Dad had a think and then contacted a lady called Helen Machin at the Tamworth Herald and she very kindly set up an interview between myself and a retired Tamworth Herald photographer called Mr. Paul Barber. The plan was that I would then asked Mr. Barber a number of questions about photography.  Mr. Barber kindly agreed and an interview was  set up for Monday 18th February 2019 at the Tamworth Herald offices in Ventura Park, Tamworth.

When we arrived we were met by Helen Machine and also introduced to the Tamworth Herald Editor, Charlotte Hart.  We were then taken to the News room where Mr. Barber was waiting for us.  After a few photos we started the interview and my dad recorded it on 2 cameras from different angles.

I really, really enjoyed speaking to Mr. Barber and I learnt so much.  The interview was almost 40 minutes long so we decided to use 6 minutes from it for Episode 2 and then show the whole interview as Epsiode 3.
