In addition to writing books, my Dad is the Chairman and the Historian for the Reliant Motor Club.  In July 2017 they arranged for a blue plaque to be fixed to the house where the first Reliant van was made in 1935.

On the day the blue plaque was uncovered Dad went early to help screw the plaque to the wall. He then asked me to take some photos for him.  Before the blue plaque was uncovered Mum also made a speech (as she is the Secretary for the Reliant Motor Club) and then a lady, Charlotte Oliver, whose Grandad helped start Reliant in 1935 uncovered the blue plaque.

Dad sent the news and some photos to various people and then in September 2017, he came home from work one day and said, “Harvey, guess what, one of the photos you took is in a magazine”. 

I was very happy as I have not had a photo I have taken in a magazine before.  The magazine was the September 2017 edition of Practical Classics.
